A New Feature of ProLabNL HP Flowloop – Ultra-Low Gas Feed Flow

ProLabNL High Pressure (HP) flowloop is well renowned in the industry for its capability in testing process equipment (e.g. Separators) and instrumentation (e.g. Multiphase Meters) at high flowrates and pressures using crude oils, hydrocarbon gases and ultra-high salinity brine.
Concerning flowrates, ProLabNL recently added 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚-𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐆𝐚𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐰 in collaboration with Aker Solutions who intend to verify MPFM performance. This leads to a significantly wider range of the gas feed flow in the flowloop.
 
Why do we need such feature? Consider about gas carry-under measurement, equipment and instrumentation turn-down verification, produced water applications and many more application where small gas flowrates may be involved in the process. 
Thus, the extended gas feed flow range, together with the wide range of the liquid feed flows, leads to a significantly larger overall operating envelope of the HP flowloop (see table below) to the advantage of our Customers.
